Wounded Landscape | New Lakeland

The Lusatian Lakeland in the south of Brandenburg is amazing. Disused open-cast mines are beeing flooded to make the largest artificial lakeland in Europe. In addition,  since the year 2000 the IBA has been working on many interesting projects in the Lusatian area. For us, as photographers, the area offers many facets such as wide waterscapes, energy landscapes, new territory, urban landscapes, transiotional landscapes, industrial heritage and architecture. We are so fascinated by this humanly transformed landscape that we decided to discover it photographically in a long-term joint project.
